RALEVANCE OF LANDNET EAST AFRICA
Landnet East Africa was formed to bring together persons and institutions working around land policy and land tenure in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda. Specifically the Network was to address following objectives:
- To facilitate the sharing of information, experiences and expertise between member countries, other sub-regional Landnet and other parts of the world.
- To facilitate capacity building in areas of land policy, management, and development through joint projects between countries, sub regions and other parts of the world.
- To facilitated the development of common strategies to address common policy development challenges.
- To facilitate human and other resources development and mobilisation a round land policy development and advocacy for sustainable land use.
- To conduct and facilitate research and analysis on common issues related to land policy development, management and administration across the sub region.
